Revival is the past "HISTORY"of the Church! The Church was birthed in a great Revival some 2,000 years ago and began the Proclamation of Death, Burial, Resurrection and Coming back of the Lord, proclaiming that He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life and that Salvation can be found in no other Name than the Name of JESUS.
Revival is the present day "HELP" to the Church, to keep the Light burning in our city, state, country and world. It has been our experience in the past 40 years or so to see churches on the verge of closing their doors recover and blossom and bloom after a "Heaven-sent, Spirit-wrought, Soul-saving, Bible-preaching" Revival.
Revival is the future "HOPE" for the Church. Many times Revivals bring us back to the foundation of who we are in Christ, and brings excitement, enthusiasm, fresh breath and a new passion and urgency to the Church to be about the Lord's business, of winning the Lost and living a daily lifestyle of repentance, commitment, and godliness.
While the trend in many modern churches is to go without the God-called Evangelist, we would urge you to consider using an Evangelist as often as possible in your church. Ephesians 4:11-12 says, "And he gave some apostles; and some prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ;"
The Lisembys are a three-generation family, and we have traveled presenting the Gospel of Jesus by way of the Preached Word and song for over 40 years. Revivals, Concerts, Crusades, Camp Meetings, Seminars, School Outreach, Street Evangelism, Tours and Reunions - you name it, the Lisembys have probably been there bringing a message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ. One great asset of the Lisembys is that we come and bring our live music with us, as well as the preaching. With 5 keyboards, bass, drums, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, 6 violins and a viola, we try to find a song that everyone will enjoy to prepare the hearts for the preaching of God's Word. With 2 preachers of the Gospel available, we bring a variety of messages. Our hope and desire is that we are able to touch everyone's heart with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a "FAMILY". God has given us the desire to reach out to families. While families are continually breaking, failing, and falling apart, we feel a call to specifically minister in the area of families. The family is the first institution God established on this earth and should be one of the main factors to consider in our churches. So goes the family, so goes the nation.
The Lisembys travel full-time in their self-contained travel coach, presenting the Gospel through singing and the Preached Word all over the United States and into other countries as well. With their wide areas of interest, they are able to speak to the entire church, and reach people of all ages.
The Lisembys are members of First Southern Baptist Church of New Edinburg, Arkansas working in cooperation with the Carey Baptist Association of Fordyce, Arkansas.
