We will be posting pictures as they become available. Congratulations to Kristen and Grant as they begin their lives serving the Lord together. |

Bittersweet Singing (2/19)
The Lisembys were honored but sad to be asked to sing at a dear friend's funeral Feb 19. Bro. Vick Gantt of Athens, LA went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 17th, and the family asked the Lisembys to sing a couple of his favorite songs at the service. What a glorious Homegoing Celebration it was. The Lord came down, all the music, and the messages were glorious, the testimonies...and the best part was that several people gave their hearts to Jesus in that service!! Praise the Lord Jesus. Bro. Vick touched many lives for the Lord which was evident at the number of people who attended. This old world will be hurting with Bro. Vick's passing, but Heaven is much sweeter with him there. Be in prayer for the Gantt family as they go through this time in their lives. We love them. |

Glorious Revival in Haynesville, LA (2/4)
What a glorious time we had at First Baptist Church, Haynesville, LA Jan 31 thru Feb 3. The Spirit of God was ever-present in each of the services. Bro. Joel & Bro. Ricky presented the Gospel like they had never done before, with so much power, love, and urgency. The music was uplifting and the Lisembys came away from that place a better team because of their stop at FBC Haynesville. May God richly bless the church and the people. |
|
W.W.C. is back in 2010!! (1/23)
Well the Lisembys and W.W.C. teamed up again for a block-busting, rip-roaring time in the Lord in Hampton, AR Jan. 22-23. Many souls were saved, and many rededicated their lives to the Lord. PRAISE GOD!! Watch your area news this year - you never know when the World Wide Crusaders might show up! |
|
JOEY & JOY - 30th Wedding Anniversary Trip (1/12 - 1/20)
Joey and Joy are celebrating their 30th Wedding Anniversary this year. And with that, the Lord saw fit to bless them with a wonderful anniversary cruise to the Bahamas. It was a time of renewing, relaxation, and preparation for the upcoming year. Joey and Joy wish to thank those who made this cruise possible, and wish God's richest blessings to all who were involved. It will be a time that they will always remember. |
|
FIRST CONCERT OF 2010 - GREAT! (1/10/2010)
Well the Lord blessed in a great way as the Lisembys began 2010 with a great Concert in Hermitage, AR. Teaming up with Bro. Jack Daniels of Heflin, LA, we began this year with a pre-revival meeting. The music was spirit-filled, and the message was great. The Lord blessed in a wonderful way with souls being changed and touched by the meeting. |

FREEZING in Arkansas!!! 1/9/2010
The year 2010 has begun with frigid temperatures, but the Lisembys are all fired up ready to hit Satan in the face this year (even if it's with snowballs!) We are looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us this year. Pray for us as we go into this year, taking each step closer to the Lord, following Him with perseverance and commitment. |

Update (10/09)
Well, the Lisembys have been so very busy the past several months. We have had some great revivals where God has shown up in His Glory. We have had some wonderful concerts where the Gospel has been proclaimed through song. We have had several retreats where youth and adults have been shown God's Majesty in His Creation here at Psalms Camp. We have been burning up the roads in our bus (Praise the Lord), and we aren't finished this year yet! This has truly been one of the busiest (if not THE busiest) year the Lisembys have had in a very long time. Praise the Lord for the souls that have been touched, lives that have been changed, and families that have been mended through God's working through this ministry. Keep praying for the Lisembys as we continue to keep on keeping on for the Lord. |
|
Camp Time (6/09)
The Lisembys were involved in two week-long camps this year. The Carey Bapt Assn. Camp, and our own Psalms 2009 Retreat. Both camps were phenomenal!! God really moved upon our youth this year. With "Broken" and "Testify" as the themes of each camp respectfully, the youth were broken, and then all they wanted to do is TESTIFY!!! Watch out World!!! The youth are on a mission - and that mission is JESUS CHRIST!!! |
|
Ladies' Retreat (5/09)
What a blessed time we had at our Annual God's Woman Retreat here at Psalms Camp!! The fellowship was great, the food was great, the music was great, and the speakers were great...what more could you ask for in a weekend to uplift ladies? Please make plans now to attend next year's God's Woman Retreat - scheduled May 7-8, 2010. You won't regret it! |
|
Work Week at Psalms Camp (4/09)
This year we had two groups come in to do work here at Psalms Camp. One from Ruston, LA and the other from Indiana. The grounds were cleaned off, repairs were done on the buildings, needful shelving, lighting, plumbing, building, etc. was done. We thank the groups that came, and we praise the Lord for blessing Psalms Camp with such a blessing as this. Without help from people such as these, Psalms Camp could not continue to operate, spreading the Gospel through God's beautiful handiwork. |
|
Sarepta Update (4/09)
Well, just to let you know that the Revival continued on at Sarepta. After several weeks with different preachers and singers coming in to fill the pulpit, over 150 salvations were recorded!!! Praise the Lord! We are so honored that God allowed us to be a part of such an outpouring of His Spirit, and for allowing our children to see "true revival" in these last days that we are living in. Pray for New Sarepta Baptist Church, and the surrounding area that the Lord will continue to "show out". |
|
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW (3/28/09)
The Lisembys just got home from one those Revivals that we will remember for years. Over 84 salvations - Praise the Lord!!! Many rededications, and a town that has gotten a hold on Jesus, and what He has done for mankind. The revival had to be extended, and as of this date, is still going on. Please pray for the Pastor, Mike Richardson at New Sarepta Baptist Church, in Sarepta, LA as he shepherds his flock that the Lord has given him. Pray for Bro. Jack Daniels - Evangelist as he continues to bring the Word of God in a powerful way. Pray for the Lisembys as we continue to sing Praises to the Lord and prepare hearts for worship. Thank You, Lord Jesus for all the wonderful mighty works you have done. |
|
First Trip in our new bus (2/15/09)
We were able to take our first trip out in our new bus to Athens, LA for a Prophecy Conference. We praise the Lord for wonderful ride we had. There are still some finishing up that we need to do in the bus, but it was wonderful to be able to be in it finally. Pray for the Lisembys as we complete the interior to meet our needs. |
|
BUS UPDATE (2/11/09)
If everything goes well, in a couple of days, we will be heading out in our newer bus. We are not completely finished with the interior. We still have a couple of RV sofas to purchase, and audio equipment to install (TV, DVD, AM/FM Stereo, etc.), but we are more than ready to burn the road up for Jesus. |
|
BUS UPDATE - (10/08)
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!! The Lord has blessed us with a newer bus. It is in Virginia at the present time getting some interior work done right now. We will have a complete update on the progress soon. At this time, the bus is empty on the inside, but we have a floor plan which will suit our needs for our family. It will take some time to get it completed, but hopefully, we will be traveling in our new coach within the next month or two. We will work on the inside as the monies become available. Please continue to pray for us, and that the money will continue to come in so that we may be able to complete the interior soon. |

BRAZIL TRIP 2008 (8/08
What a joy to be home again, but the homecoming was a bittersweet one. You see, we left Brazil with heavy hearts and tears of sadness. We met so many people and shared with so many the love of Christ. Many were saved, but there were many who did not receive salvation through Jesus Christ. Joy, Kristen, Melody and Mercy returned home safely on July 28th. We were so excited about the trip. We made many friends, and formed relationships with many of the people there. We were able to share on the streets of Sao Paulo, go into the homes and share, we helped with Vacation Bible School each afternoon, and had several visits to English schools where the team was able to sing, testify, and witness to those in attendance. We were warmly received, and there were many salvations. God really blessed the efforts, and we would like to thank those who made this trip possible by way of finances. We are already looking forward to going back next year, and bringing more of the family with us. God bless the effort. |
|
Upcoming Brazil Mission Trip (6/30/08)
Please be in prayer for Joy, Kristen, Melody, and Mercy as they leave on July 18th to go to Sao Paulo, Brazil for a 10 day mission trip. Pray for their safety, for God to use them in a mighty way to reach the lost souls, and that many lives will be changed. They will be returning on July 28th. |
|
Just an update. (6/30/08)
Well, it's been a while since we've updated, but the Lord has kept the family so busy these past weeks. Our bus, so far, is still holding on. The Lord has blessed so much with the fund raising on a newer bus. We are just waiting to see what the Lord has in store for us. Still praying for God's leadership in choosing which bus He has for us to travel in.
We just finished up with Psalms 2008 - our annual Youth Retreat. It was great. The Lord moved over the grounds in a mighty way. Wednesday night, in spite of the thunderstorm, the singing, signing, and dramas were outstanding. Great job, campers!
Please continue to pray for the Lisembys as we seek God's Will. He has kept us busy so far this year. But the time is fastly approaching when it will be a year since the death of our loved one, James Lisemby. July will be a difficult time for the family, so please be in prayer for us. |
|
BUS ALERT!!! (4/08)
We have just received word that our bus is not in good traveling condition. Please check out the page "BUS UPDATE" for more details. Please pray for the Lisembys about this concern. |
|

April, 2008
Well, 2008 has already been a very exciting busy year for the Lisembys. We have had many meetings and seen many lives changed this year. We are looking forward to a great Spring, and Summer. Our Ladies Retreat is coming up this weekend May 2-3, and then we have three Revivals in a row in May. Pray for us as we continue to keep on going strong for the Lord. |
|
2008 update
Well, 2007 is over and a new page has been turned in the Lisemby Family Ministries for 2008. God is so great, and His Grace IS sufficient. Last year saw many heartaches, and sorrows for our family, but God is greater still. We are looking forward to a great year. Many places to go, many songs to record and sing, and many people to share the Good News with, are waiting for us to possess. As Moses received God's Words to "go and possess" the land that He had given to Israel, we will go and "possess" the souls that He has already begun to prepare. We are excited about what God is going to do with our ministry this year. New recordings, new books, new places to go....Amen, and Amen! Praise the Lord! |
|
James Lisemby - (1929 - 2007)
Today, July 26, 2007, James went home to be with the Lord. After a long drawn out time at home, his health continued on a roller-coaster ride until finally it stopped. The Lord decided that James' work here on earth was done. We know that God said, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. You ran the race, you finished your course, and you kept the faith." And as God's divine providence is so amazing, the whole family was able to be around during his last days. Please be in prayer for the family, as they grieve their loss. James accomplished so very much in his 77 years of life...touching thousands of lives all over the world. His ministry work that he began almost 40 years ago will continue to touch lives, even after his passing. Praise be the Lord for his mercy during this time. |
|
The Lisembys - New CD - "Let's Go!" (7/07)
Well, the Lord saw fit to allow James to record one last time before he saw Jesus. Our latest recording, "Let's Go!" features the family singing songs of praise and worship. James has several songs on this recording, one which he recorded just days after returning home from the hospital in May which came to be his last song to record, "What Heaven Means to Me". What a blessing that James is now seeing that glorious home he sang about so many times. You will want a copy of this latest recording for your collection of Lisemby music. It is, by far, the best yet! |
|
James Health Update (6/2/07)
Please continue to pray for James as we just had an unfortunate occurence in our lives. On Thursday, May 31, 2007, James fell and broke his right hip. His surgery went well on Friday, and today (6/2) his spirits were up a bit. It's going to be a long road of recovery, and we seek God's Guidance, and His ever-loving healing Hand in his recovery. We will continue to update his condition as we can. The family appreciates all the prayers that have been uplifted so far for James, and the rest of the family. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers continually. |
|
James Lisemby Health Update (5/07)
As many of you already know, James has been under the weather the past few months. Recently we discovered that his cancer has returned. We ask for your continued prayers as we seek God's Healing Hand in this storm we are having to endure. James is a strong Christian and a strong man, and we just know that God will show us His Hand in this. |

Many received Christ as their personal Savior - Praise the Lord! We will be posting pictures soon of their trip. Please be in prayer as they cover the entire country preaching, witnessing, and singing the Gospel. We have heard briefly that there have been decisions made to follow the Lord. Also, that the power of Satan is hard at work over in God's Land. Pray for their safety, that more decisions will be made, for their strength and health to hold up, and that God will bless in a mighty way. |

The Lisembys left each Revival with renewed spirits ourselves. |

"PRAISE REPORT!!" (9/02)
As many of our friends already knew, James was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. On August 16th he had a biopsy done. We found out on August 20, that it definitely was cancer - a very fast-growing cancer, and as the doctor described it "very aggressive", and he needed surgery right away, with radiation treatments upon recovery. On August 23, he went in for surgery. We had a Revival scheduled in Georgia for Sept. 8 - 11. James said he was not going to miss it, and got an okay from his doctor to travel. We had one of the greatest spiritual upliftings we have ever seen. Bro. Mike Holloway, pastor of Westside Baptist Church in Warner Robbins, GA, had prayer over James that God would intervene. Leaving that church with good feelings, we left and went to Chattanooga, TN for the weekend. Sunday night, we sang in a beautiful church in the valley - surrounded by God's magnificent creation. The pastor stopped the concert and called his men to pray for James - what a Hallelujah time it was! Meanwhile, back in Arkansas, the doctors were "reviewing James' reports" to determine their next step in his treatment. On Thursday, September 19, James went for his first radiation treatment. Before they got started, the doctor came out and said, "I don't see any reason why you should have these treatments - there's nothing to treat! In fact, I don't want to see you for another 3 months!" Well, it seems that during all those prayer meetings, God was working a mighty work in the body of James, and somehow "changed the reports". Praise the Lord for His mighty Healing Hand! Oh, by the way, the doctor put on his report "answer to prayer". |

Psalms 2002 Was the BEST Ever!!
(7/1/02) Undoubtedly, this year's camp surpassed them all! God made His Presence known on the very first service Monday night, and He never left the whole week. And, as history proves itself time and time again, Satan had to raise his ugly head, too. BUT - God has the victory over that ugly serpent every time. Praise be the Name of the Lord!!! We are still waiting for the final count as to how many were saved. There were many rededications, six (6) youth and one (1) adult surrendered to the preaching ministry, and three (3) surrendered to the mission field. Praise the Lord, for He is Good!! |
